I believe that enough effort is not going into Oakland, more love effort patients and people who really care should be teachers and principals. Yes, Robinson from the African American Male achievement office is Great. He is a good gesture to helping African American males become better people, but I think that a women's group should be started as well. Children in Oakland parents seem to not care, ( that's why students don't care about good grades) or didn't/don't have the proper guidance from there parents to be the best that they can become. They didn't have the love that they needed and I believe that that is the key part in why Oakland is so horrible, or a "bad place" like tucker mentioned. There should be a group that shows young women how to love themselves and respect and honor themselves as well. I believe that if this is done, and that the value of life is learned then teen moms wouldn't be so common. That when you have a child you should be able to provide for them, and that you should have a true partner that will help you through because its a long stressful road ahead. That when you have the gift that god has gave you that you will truly love your child, help them teach them, and give then great support so that they can stop hating one another and being so angry all the time.
